PetKey provides a platform for storing, managing, and sharing information related to pets. Our services may include AI-powered features designed to assist users in organizing and understanding pet-related data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use PetKey. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. The Service

PetKey is a digital platform that allows users to:

• Create and manage pet profiles

• Store and organize pet-related information

• Share pet data with third parties (e.g. veterinarians)

• Use AI-based tools to extract and structure information

PetKey acts solely as a technology platform and does not provide veterinary or medical advice.

4. AI Features Disclaimer

PetKey may provide AI-powered features using third-party providers.

• AI outputs are automatically generated and may be inaccurate or incomplete

• AI features are intended for informational purposes only

• PetKey does not provide veterinary or medical advice

• Users must review and approve any AI-generated content before it is stored or used

You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated information.

5. User Accounts & Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

• You are responsible for all activity under your account

• PetKey is not liable for unauthorized access caused by user negligence

• If you suspect unauthorized use, you must notify us immediately

6. Subscriptions & Payments

PetKey offers subscription-based services, including:

• Free plan

• Standard plan

• Premium plan

Subscriptions may be billed monthly or annually and renew automatically unless cancelled.

Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time

• Access continues until the end of the current billing period

• No partial refunds are provided

Add-ons (AI Boost)

• AI Boost packages provide additional usage tokens

• Tokens do not roll over

• Tokens are consumed as used

• Purchases are non-refundable

Payment Providers

• Payments are processed via third-party providers such as Stripe or Apple (In-App Purchases)

• PetKey does not store full payment card information

For purchases made through Apple, Apple’s terms apply.

7. Data Ownership & License

Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you upload to PetKey, including pet-related information.

License to PetKey

By using the service, you grant PetKey a:

• worldwide

• non-exclusive

• royalty-free

• transferable

license to:

• store and process your data

• operate and improve the service

• develop new features and functionality

PetKey may use aggregated and anonymized data for analytics and product improvement.

8. Data Storage & Retention

• Pet-related data is stored as part of the service

• Data is retained as long as necessary to provide and improve the service

• Pet profiles may be archived rather than permanently deleted

• User accounts can be deleted upon request

9. User Content

You are responsible for all content you upload, including:

• accuracy

• legality

• ownership rights

PetKey does not verify the correctness of uploaded data.

We reserve the right to remove content in cases of misuse or legal requirements.

10. Sharing & Third-Party Access

Users may share pet data with third parties, such as veterinarians.

• Access is controlled by the user

• Access may be time-limited and secured (e.g. access codes)

• PetKey is not responsible for how third parties use the data

Veterinarians and other third parties act as independent parties, not representatives of PetKey.

11. Third-Party Services

PetKey relies on third-party providers, including but not limited to:

• Cloud infrastructure providers

• Payment processors

• AI providers

• Communication tools

PetKey is not responsible for outages, errors, or data handling by third-party services.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• PetKey provides the service “as is”

• We make no guarantees regarding accuracy, availability, or reliability

• PetKey is not liable for:

  • errors in data

  • loss of data

  • decisions made based on the service

  • AI-generated outputs

PetKey’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the last 12 months (if any).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PetKey harmless from any claims arising from:

• your use of the service

• your content

• your violation of these terms

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• you violate these terms

• the service is misused

You may stop using the service at any time.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
